Letter Stack

Letter Stack is a word puzzle set in a small wooden well full of letter blocks. Drag across touching blocks, sideways, up, down or on a diagonal, to spell a word of three letters or more. The word pops, the stack slides down and fresh blocks drop in from the top, so every word changes what you can spell next.

Every level has one goal and a small budget of moves, where one move is one word. You might need to reach a score, spell a number of words of a certain length, thaw frosted blocks, break stone blocks, bring paper lanterns down to the floor or free chained letters. Stars come from your score, and earning stars opens new worlds. If you run out of moves, you can retry or, after a short ad, get five more.

There are 160 levels across eight worlds of twenty, and each world brings a new kind of block. The Meadow Well teaches the basics, the Orchard Crates add gold blocks that double a word's points and spark blocks that clear their whole row, Harbour Frost has frosted blocks that need two words, the Clockwork Workshop has stones you break by spelling next to them, the Lantern Market has lanterns to sink, and the Old Library asks for long words and chained letters. In the Snowy Peaks blocks keep falling and you race to keep the well from overflowing, and the Star Observatory mixes everything. The last level of each world is a bigger boss level. Every level was played through by a bot during generation to check it can be solved within its moves.

Long words pay much more than short ones: the multiplier doubles at five letters and keeps climbing, and rare letters carry higher values. So it often pays to look for one long word instead of three quick ones. Lanterns sink when you clear blocks under them, so dig beneath them. Stones and chains only break when a word touches them, so plan paths that pass right next to them. When stuck, the bulb shows you a word.

Coins buy new tile sets, and a daily puzzle adds a fresh board every day. You can play in English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German or Russian, each with its own letter tiles, point values and word list. Levels are short and work with mouse, keyboard or touch on phones and tablets.
