Hop a clay frog home across roads, rivers and rails in 120 levels and an endless mode.
Benerits
Frog Crossing is a 3D hopper about a small clay frog trying to get home to its pond. Every hop moves it one row forward across a toy countryside, and every row has something in the way. The journey runs through six worlds: Clover Farm with busy country roads and slow tractors, Willow River with drifting logs, Misty Marsh with diving turtles and floating lily pads, Sunset Rails with level crossings, Snowy Lanes with ice slides, snowploughs and floes, and Night City with traffic lights, trams and canal barges.
The campaign has 120 levels, twenty per world. Each level is one crossing from the start to the pond. Cars can squash you, trains can hit you, deep water means a splash, and on levels 10 and 20 of every world a hawk circles behind you and snatches the frog if it dawdles. After a mistake you can try again from the start, or once per attempt revive on the spot by watching a short ad.
Every level has three stars: reach the pond, catch every firefly along the way, and arrive within the par time, which is worked out by a solver for that exact level. Worlds open as your star total grows and you clear the finale of the world before. Coins picked up on the board and earned at the end of a level buy frog skins, and there are 18 of them, from Mint and Blueberry to Conductor and Aviator. Some skins are earned instead by clearing a world, collecting stars or going far in Endless mode.
Endless opens after level 5. It strings the worlds together into one road with no end, changing theme every 30 rows, and a hawk dives if you wait too long. Your score is the furthest row you reach.
A few tips: turtles start to bubble just before they dive, so hop off when you see it. When the railway signal flashes, a train is coming, so wait until the lights stop. On ice you slide until something stops you, so look at where you will end up before you hop. In Night City, cars stop at red lights, which gives you a safe moment to cross on the zebra. On logs and lily pads, aim for the middle. Fireflies and the par time can pull in different directions, so it is fine to earn those stars on separate runs.
Frog Crossing works on phones, tablets and computers, in portrait or landscape, with taps and swipes or the keyboard.
In each level your goal is to get the frog home to its pond. There are three stars per level: reach the pond, catch every firefly on the way and arrive within the par time. Stars open new worlds, coins buy frog skins, and some skins are earned by clearing worlds.
In Endless mode you try to get as far down one long road as you can. Your furthest distance goes on the leaderboard.
