Benerits
BenelOil is an isometric gas station tycoon built with three.js that runs in the browser. You start with a one-pump station in a small town and grow it, sale by sale, into a business with several branches and, eventually, a small nuclear reactor out back. What sets it apart from many tycoon games is that you serve the customers yourself: at the start you are the pump attendant as well as the owner.
Cars turn in from the road and a bubble shows what each driver wants, for example 30 litres of diesel. You pick the right nozzle, hold the fill button and let go close to the requested amount. Landing on target earns a tip, and cleaning the windscreen while the car fills doubles it. Overfilling costs a spill penalty, and the wrong fuel brings a heavy fine and a hit to your reputation. Drivers have limited patience and leave angry if they wait too long. A game day lasts 160 real seconds, including a night phase.
Every sale funds the next upgrade. You buy land, pour concrete and place buildings: more pumps, a bigger sign, larger fuel tanks, a market, toilets, a car wash, an oil change bay, a café, a restaurant, a truck park and parking. Fuel is ordered and delivered by tanker, so tank levels need watching. An electricity chain adds grid infrastructure, battery storage and DC chargers for electric cars, powered by solar panels, a diesel generator or a small modular nuclear reactor. Each source has a catch: panels get dirty, generator noise drives electric car drivers away, and a neglected reactor can explode and leave debris that has to be cleared before you can build another.
Further on, a company layer adds loans, partners, corporate contracts, staff training, insurance, a marketing budget, seasons and a rival station that starts a price war. Brand stars and money open new branches: the town, the ring road, the highway, a marina where boats take on far more fuel than cars, and the metropolis, where land is scarce. A manager runs the branches you are not playing, at lower efficiency than you. You can also hand a station over: the equipment goes, the land, concrete and brand stars stay, and your permanent income multiplier grows.
Some practical tips: read the requested fuel type before you pick a nozzle, clean the windscreen whenever you have a moment, and order fuel before a tank runs dry rather than after. Playing a branch yourself always earns more than leaving it to a manager. BenelOil runs on computers, phones and tablets, can be played as a guest, saves to your account when you sign in, and is available in eight languages.
Your goal is to grow the station. Hold the pump to fill up the cars that pull in, click to serve customers and keep the queue short. Spend the money from every sale on the next upgrade.
Upgrades open in order: the car wash, the market, the restaurant and finally the reactor out back. Each new part changes how the station looks and moves the business a step further. Play with the mouse on a computer, or tap and hold on a phone or tablet. The screen is made for landscape.
